vintage postage stamps encased in resin

nearly finished.....just need a final sanding.....this is a great way to encapsulate a fragile piece of paper into a usable object or conversation piece.

  3. There is a very good book which has many good tips about resin. Its called "The Art of Resin Jewelry" by Sherri Haab. A friend taught me how to use regular hardward store Devcon 2-ton, 2 part epoxy, to create the pieces I make.
These pieces of paper were coated a few times with Sobo glue (clear drying white craft glue) and then set in the resin to cure. If they were set in the resin with no coating, they would become translucent, which gives a cool effect, if that's what you were aiming for!
Ask me any question and I will do my best to answer it. Most of all, I recommend to experiment and have fun!!!
