london-based artist rob ryan amazes me to no end! i just saw a few of his meticulously-crafted papercutting works at MAD in NYC. and now i am completely fascinated! his messages are truly heartfelt and they inspire me to appreciate the small joys in everything. thank you rob!
oh, and by the way, i just had to check out john connolly's "the book of lost things" again (which i never finished. hmmm... that happens a lot). i had been fascinated at once by the cover, printed in gold and violet, over a year ago. and now an excited resurgence of interest in rob's cover art guided me back to my library to pick it up once more. it's actually quite poetic, lovely and absurd all at once - and i definitely recommend it!
